- Cancel our JVM shutdown hook when shutting down
    - Run a spinner task so shutdown always completes
    - exit() instead of halt() so other JVM shutdown hooks run
    - Prevent duplicate wrapper notifier hooks
    - Notify the wrapper twice, once for stopping and once for stopped
